Harassment from the top

“I’ve been cautioned that deliberate efforts will be made to prevent me from securing employment elsewhere for the next 10 years.”

I worked at University Hospitals in the UK. Specifically, the IT&D Department and my role involved Project Support. The bullying began with an attempt to trick me into lower wages than originally anticipated taking under consideration Project Managers earning £750 a day hiring PSO at £80 a day who is executing all their task.

The tactics employed included bullying, discrimination, victimization, blackmail, and using local connections to ruin my life for whistleblowing. Initially, I felt helpless and isolated with nowhere to turn. The situation escalated when I raised a query about my pay discrepancy to HR and further complaints followed when the real bullying began as retaliation.

Unfortunately, my employer was trying to hide everything under the carpet. The impact on me was detrimental. I was nearly finished financially, mentally, and physically.

The organization experienced no responsibility and accountability for its actions. They just hired a solicitor to eliminate each point from my Employment Tribunal case knowing I have no legal knowledge and only CAB to rely on trying to trip me on little details and legal tricks that I am not familiar with.

I’ve been instructed to submit documentation that has already been supplied, and it seems to me that these requests are not only deliberate actions from the Respondent Solicitor but, based on my review of the Court papers, it appears the Judge is also favoring the Respondent’s stance. This aligns with what the Head of my Department explicitly conveyed to me before terminating my employment – that she would vigorously contest and ensure the case is struck off.

Unfortunately, it seems this is precisely what is transpiring, compounding the challenges I’ve already faced. I’ve experienced a rapid loss of employment opportunities since departing from the NHS due to various reasons. I’ve been cautioned that deliberate efforts will be made to prevent me from securing employment elsewhere for the next 10 years. This situation feels more like dealing with a mafia or a gang than an institution like a hospital.
