“I worked in the mailroom shipping products all over the world. I shipped and processed packages Monday thru Friday, toxic chemicals and non toxic. It was a high tech company and stressful.
I’m am a 55 year old Black female, and my weight is under 140 lbs.. I stand at an even five feet tall.
The bullying began my first week of employment by a lead manager. I was first treated nicely until I spoke up for myself. I was invited by that lead manager to come to her house for a cookout, and when I rejected the invitation, the evil began.
She became mean on a daily basis. I was not trained properly. I was left to handle situations I was not capable of handling because of not being trained properly. I was called names, I was told I was too little, I was cursed at, I was touched improperly, and I was suspended, then fired all in seven months time.
I was called names, I was told I was too little, I was cursed at, I was touched improperly, and I was suspended, then fired all in seven months time.
I reported occurrences to management over five times, and I was blatantly ignored. I was escorted off the job site and allowed five minutes to gather my belongings. I have only lived in this state for one year, and this situation shook me to the core because it was childish and abrupt. I’m shattered and trying to pick up the pieces to move forward. At this stage of my life, it’s not easy to do. I pray daily. I need help.
I have been bullied all my life and I’m tired. My advice for others is to never give up. Enough is ENOUGH!”
